I was able to hit the farmers market today and found some beautiful beefsteak heirloom tomatoes, fresh burrata and basil. All it needed was a little slicing, salt, pepper and EVOO. Heaven! There is nothing like fresh produce to make a meal!
Was and cut your heirloom tomato into 1/2 inch slices, allowing any excess seeds and juice to fall out so its less runny when served. place them in a semi circle on your serving plate.
Remove the burrata from the container and tap off any excess moisture. Place next to the tomatoes.
Drizzle olive oil over buratta and tomato. Sprinkle with fresh ground salt (I prefer Himalayan Pink) and pepper (Rainbow pepper is great for this). Top the tomato slices off with the chopped basil and serve!
